In the early days of Nicole being a Virtual Assistant (before she rebranded to Bauhinia Solutions), Nicole took on ad-hoc projects and worked with freelancers, such as graphic designers and copywriters, to produce a variety of work that included printable brochures and flyers, and business logos.
Australian Garment Imports & Quality Assurance was formed in 2009 by Angela McGarry, a freelance quality assurance professional who has a solid background in quality control, factory floor supervising and managing all aspects of local and imported clothing production. As a new business owner, Angela needed a brochure to explain her services. We were hired to write copy for her marketing materials and then design a double sided, tri-fold brochure for printing.
Our Copywriter, Michelle organised a Skype call with our client. Michelle, at the time, was based in China, and our client was based in Australia. After a conversation about her target audience, her services, and the benefits of hiring her, Michelle was able to write copy for her brochure. Once the copy was completed and approved by our client, it was passed onto our Graphic Designer, Melanie, who was based in Hong Kong.
Melanie also had a conversation with our client about colours and what she wished to convey visually. Once Melanie was clear on her scope, she designed three different brochures for the client to review and provide feedback. In this case, one of the brochures was her favourite and no more edits were needed (sometimes clients like elements with two brochures and we combine those to create the final design).
