As part of our ongoing administrative support services, we are sometimes asked to assist with updating or redesigning marketing materials. While we’re not a design agency, we do take on these tasks when the client’s needs are clear—especially when they want editable documents they can manage themselves without the need to engage a professional graphic designer each time. One such request came from a client who asked us to refresh an existing Microsoft Word flyer for a programme called Team Mission.
Our Solution:
1. Redesign Within Client Parameters:
Although Microsoft Word is not typically our platform of choice for designing flyers, the client specifically requested a format they could edit independently. As it was a simple, one-page document, Word was suitable for the task.
2. Key Enhancements and Layout Improvements: The redesign included the following:
- Creating a new, more visually appealing header;
- Enhancing the quality and positioning of images;
- Reorganising the layout to improve readability and visual flow.
We worked within the original structure but elevated the design to give the flyer a modern, polished look that better reflected the client’s offering.
The Outcome:
The client received a refreshed flyer that was easy to edit and update internally, giving them flexibility without sacrificing presentation quality. The new layout and visuals made the flyer more engaging, while the editable format empowered the client to make future changes without additional support.
