As part of our ongoing administrative support, we are sometimes asked to design marketing materials for our clients. Depending on the project’s complexity and the client’s preferences, we either handle the design in-house or collaborate with a trusted graphic designer.
Our Solution:
1. Seasonal eCard Design: Each year, our client requests the creation of eCards to send to her clients during Christmas and Chinese New Year. For each card, we consider the time of year and the relevant themes.
2. Cultural and Brand Alignment: For Chinese New Year, we research the zodiac animal for the upcoming year and its associated meanings. In 2014, entering the Year of the Wood Horse, we designed an eCard featuring a horse leaping through a capital ‘O’—a nod to our client’s company, Orca Capital. The horse symbolised energy, vitality, and progress, aligning with both the zodiac’s significance and our client’s brand identity.
3. Collaborative Design Process: Our graphic designer, Linda, worked closely with the client to ensure the design captured the essence of the celebration while maintaining brand consistency. The final eCard was both culturally resonant and visually appealing.
